Jesus wept…

And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me. But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.  Woe unto the world because of offences! for it must needs be that offences come; but woe to that man by whom the offence cometh!   Matthew 18:5-7

In tears and in prayers (and more tears), I have collected the comments of friends from Facebook as we mourn the loss of these little ones both in China and in Connecticut, as we pray for those still here, and we ask the Lord for laborers for the harvest.

These are perilous times… (2 Tim 3:1-4)

There is a GREAT DARKNESS out there… (John 8:44) People need the Lord.

Precious little kindergarteners…

In the face of today’s tragedies, I have gathered these, not for myself, but in order for us to not become desensitized to the evil that surrounds us.  And to gather together to cry out to the Lord for these other families and to intercede in prayer for them and to encourage one another as the days grow more evil.

“How could anyone kill a child… ?? I will never understand evil. It’s all around us though. Bless the families of those sweet babies. I just want to hug mine.”

“The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is good, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is that darkness! Matt 6:22-23

“Another school, another mass shooting, why?”

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.  I Pet 5:8

“All I wanna do I go get my kids and love on them right now”..

Beside the killing today here, we see a knife wielding man injuring 22 in China, and we know of the College stabbing in Casper, Wyoming on Nov 30, as well as the mall shooting in Portland, Oregon.

Hear my cry, O God; Attend to my prayer. From the end of the earth I will cry to You, When my heart is overwhelmed; Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.  Ps 61:1-2

“Lord, comfort the families and friends…”

“Praying for Newtown, Connecticut”…

“Now they will never hold their babies again”…

“Tears and grief…no other words!”

One day I will wipe away every tear and take away all your pain… Rev 21:4

“God’s in the same place He was when His Son died…”

The people who sat in darkness have seen a great light, And upon those who sat in the region and shadow of death Light has dawned.” Matt 4:16

Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, “I am the Light of the world; he who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life.”  John 8:12

We need to hear the Word in order to come to faith.

“I can’t imagine what a full-fledged tribulation will be like”…

“How very awful & tragic this is, there are no words to express the horror and pain that goes with it. My heart bleeds for the families of those lost or maimed today. Also, in China, a knife-wielding man slashed 22 children in an elementary school. This world is in serious spiritual decline and many of us are numb to it all.”

This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all.  I John 1:5

“Horrified, stunned, overcome.”

For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.  Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?  I John 5:4-5

“Share the Gospel of Christ Jesus.”

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.  Rom 6:23

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.  Rom 3:23

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.   He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.  John 3:16, 36

For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.  1 Cor 15:3-4

“Praying for all the grieving hearts and the souls of those who don’t know Jesus!”

“God is the healer of broken hearts and the one who can change the hearts of ALL sinners…”

“Jesus may You comfort those hurting from this tragedy.”

“My heart is aching….”

“May God alone be your solace, your strength and your future.”

“The world needs the Prince of Peace”….

A note from my friend Jack Weaver

We must remember, The Lord did not want nor cause this tragedy.

But our Savior did welcome these little children into Heaven by His Grace. I pray this tragic event will awaken our friends to the Holy Spirit’s conviction that they individually need to trust The Savior, Jesus Christ.

As a Pastor for many years it was my difficult position to comfort and serve some young parents whose precious children had tragically passed away. Such is a time when folks, normally having no thought of the reality of death or eternity, come face to face with it.

The Gospel of God’s Grace by Faith in Jesus Christ alone is the only individual solution for the family surveyors, relatives, friends — and even those across the country who have grieved over this terrible thing. Everyone has the opportunity to believe in Jesus Christ.
“For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.”  Titus 2:11-14
For anyone reading this and not sure of Eternal Life in Heaven some day, please trust Jesus Christ as your Savior NOW!!In Jesus Christ eternally, Jack Weaver

“I don’t have the words to express the deep sadness in my heart. Praying for all who have been touched by this senseless tragedy.”

“Lord, I know above all others, that you are heavy hearted.”

“This is unreal and so tragic!!!”

For I have satiated the weary soul, and I have replenished every sorrowful soul.  Jeremiah 31:25

“This life is TEMPORARY!! Having a thousand degrees or a million dollars means nothing if you’re not saved REAL TALK! When we come face to face with God, what will He say?? Heart check! Lord knows I have fallen away these past few days and man I’m in need of His grace!!!”

“It’s not supposed to be this way. It’s not meant to be like this. God, have mercy on us all.”

“OH DEAR GOD!!! We cry out to YOU! Please Father!!!!!!”

“God tells us in Jeremiah 29:13, “And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.” If you are also a true seeker, if you want to know the true God, then He will reveal himself to you too.”

“Can’t stop the tears, my heart breaks for these families…”

Jesus says, “Come unto Me, all you that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you, and learn of Me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and you shall find rest unto your souls. For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light.”  Matthew 11:28-30

“There is more light and true goodness in those we meet and know in our communites throughout this world, this darkness that has visited a Primary School is abnormal, that is why we are all so devastated by what we see and hear. Shine your little light in your small corner and I in mine. And may the GOD comfort all those families who have had their hearts broken this day.”

Jesus says, “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear My voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with Me.” Revelation 3:20
